Goldenday: Ну почему сразу бред? Согласен, это, конечно, не Александр Сергеевич, но какая-то изысканность в стихах есть. Если взять некоторых наших поэтов-классиков, понять их не намного проще. В конце концов, может стих Вуда просто создан по мотивам какого-нибудь старинного живописного полотна, не допускаешь такого?

Если еще допустить, что смотрел он на эту картину в обкуренном состоянии, то как раз такой стих и родился в его воображении..... The Move, ELO and Wizzard legend will take his place on Broad Street’s Walk Of Stars in the biggest celebration yet, after an army of fans backed our campaign to get him the celebrity honour. Roy, writer of some of rock and pop’s biggest hits, will be paraded through the city centre streets on a reindeer-drawn sleigh, switching on Birmingham’s Christmas lights as he passes by. The procession, taking place on Saturday, November 13, will be followed by a ceremony onstage in Brindleyplace, where the Lord Mayor will present him with the honour recognising his contribution to the city. Roy Wood: I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day Since the Sunday Mercury started its campaign to have Roy recognised on the Walk Of Stars, supporters from all around the world have flooded our offices with messages of support. Celebrity backers of the campaign have included Brummie rock wildman Ozzy Osbourne, violin superstar Nigel Kennedy, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host Chris Tarrant, songbird Toyah Willcox and 10cc’s Graham Gouldman. Last night Roy thanked everyone who backed the Mercury crusade. “Wow! This is really brilliant!” he said. “If someone had told me when I first started in the music business, that I would be recognised in this way, I would have had a problem coming to terms with that. “I was born a Brummie, and have lived in the Midlands all my life, and have written most of my music here. “I have to thank the Sunday Mercury for instigating this. AlexYar: Кстати сказать, Джаспер Кэррот (Jasper Carrott), с которым наш Джэфф буквально месяц назад (7 октября) был замечен за ужином в одном из ресторанов Лос-Анджелеса, тоже "звездатый чувак", причем его звезда №2 после Оззи.... Так что Кэррот и Линн вдобавок ко всему и земляки.

Roy tells us that the CD will be a 2 disc set released by EMI. The idea is that he chooses a selection of his favourite tracks from his entire career, checks out the master tapes and if he sees fit to remaster, edit etc. he will sprinkle on some of his magic dust! There may also be some previously unheard tracks or versions of songs but for the moment, the track list is top secret! - posted 17 Jan 2011 - Новая CD-компиляция от Вуда в 2011 В настоящее время Рой работает над коллекцией песен для новой компиляции под названием "Музыкальная книжка". Goldenday: Вычитал тут случайно, почему один из альбомов Move назван 'Shazam' и стало понятно, почему музыканты изображены в подобных костюмах: речь идёт о герое комиксов, скромном парне Билли Бэтсоне, который при помощи волшебного слова 'Shazam' (составленного из первых букв имён античных богов и мифологических героев - Соломона, Геракла, Атланта, Зевса, Ахилла и Меркурия (в латинском написании), - превращался в капитана Марвелла, непобедимого борца со злом.

Goldenday: Я же говорю, рисовал неплохо (не знаю, как сейчас): пропорции на месте, все персонажи узнаваемы. Цвет - отдельная тема, но это ж не классическая живопись, так что гвоздить не буду.
