Voldar: Том с парнями собрался в юбилейный тур. 2017 Tour Announced! We are pleased to announce that Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers will embark on their 40th Anniversary Tour in early 2017. The tour kicks off in Oklahoma City on April 20th and includes their first ever performance at historic Wrigley Field on June 29th. Tickets for many of the 2017 concerts will go on sale at Ticketmaster.com, AXS.com, or on the venue ticketing website beginning Friday December 16th at 10 am local venue time. Premium Ticket Packages will also be available through the ticketing websites for most locations. West Coast and other dates will be announced in the future. Voldar: Да,очень печально и очень неожиданно.Ну как же так, только 22 сентября Том и сотоварищи отыграли концерт на 40-е творческой деятельности и тут на тебе.Просто в голове не укладывается,что один из титанов рока ушел от нас,а ведь мужику было всего 66.

Goldenday: Спасибо, Саша. Весь октябрь какой-то нереальный... будто во сне всё. Вспомнился тут на днях сольный альбом Робина Зандера 1993 года. Две отличных (на мой взгляд) песни на нём спродюсировал - правая рука Тома - Майк Кэмпбелл. И я верю, что наследие Петти: его почерк, стиль, приёмы, подход к жизни, будут жить дальше. chimike: Через две недели после внезапной смерти в возрасте 66 лет Том Петти (Tom Petty) все-таки был похоронен вчера на частной церемонии, в которой, как сообщается, присутствовали только члены семьи и группа его ближайших друзей. Том Петти был кремирован. Несколько подробностей о прощании с певцом просочились в СМИ, где сообщается, что Петти был похоронен в Lake Shrine in the Pacific Palisades, богатом пригороде Санта-Моники, недалеко от Лос-Анджелеса. Tom wrote “Leave Virginia Alone” in January 1993—very early in the evolution of Wildflowers. The song debuts alongside a video co-directed by Mark Seliger and Tom’s daughter Adria Petty. The video stars emerging actress Casimere Jollette (Netflix’s forthcoming “Tiny Pretty Things”) and was shot around Connecticut as well as in and around Seliger’s studio in New York City. In speaking with David Fricke yesterday on SiriusXM’s Tom Petty Radio, Adria notes, “We were very resourceful about trying to create a character that could be assigned to anyone. That’s why Virginia in this video is very mysterious but she has her little glimpses of characters. We really worked to cast someone authentic—that felt like they were really feeling their feelings and someone that you could believe. We wanted the song do the heavy lifting in this video, and sort of step out of the way and just give it something to breathe with.” Seliger furthers, “The one idea that kept coming back to both of us is that we really want Tom to be narrating the story.
